What are your opening hours?
The shop is open seven days a week from 9am: Monday to Thursday until 8pm, Friday and Saturday until 9pm, and Sunday until 8pm. The banner at the top of the page shows live whether we are open right now.
Do you make celebration cakes to order?
Yes. We make bespoke cakes for birthdays, christenings and other occasions, decorated fresh in the shop with a personal message on top. Call in or email your idea, and it helps to give us a little notice so we can plan it around the day you need it.
What do you sell?
A full continental and Romanian counter: sponge cakes, chocolate gâteaux and fruit mousse cakes; éclairs, tiramisu and cremșnit custard slices; traditional fursecuri biscuits; and fresh bread including sourdough, franzela and cozonac. There is coffee to sit in with, plus savoury pastries and pretzels.
Can I get a coffee and sit in?
Yes, there are a couple of tables to sit at with a coffee and something from the counter. Plenty of people take away too, so it works either way.
Do you label allergens?
Allergen information is marked on the cakes and slices in the counter. If you are buying for someone with a specific allergy, ask a member of staff and they will talk you through what is in each one.
